Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma appointed new Vice Chancellors for all the nine universities in the state. With the appointment of new VCs for all universities in one go, the college education system is set to get a fresh perspective in line with Revanth Reddy Government’s ideas and ideals.

Here is the list of newly appointed Vice Chancellors:

1. Osmania University, Hyderabad: Prof Kumar Moglaram
2. Kakatiya University, Warangal: Prof Pratap Reddy
3. Telugu University, Hyderabad: Prof Niyananda Rao
4. Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University, Hyderabad: Prof Aldas Janaiah
5. Sri Konda Laxman Telangana Horticultural University: Prof Raji Reddy
6. Palamuru University, Mahabubnagar: Prof GN Srinivas
7. Telangana University, Nizamabad: Prof Yadagiri Rao
8. Satavahana University, Karimnagar: Prof Umesh Kumar
9. Mahatma Gandhi University, Nalgonda: Prof Altaf Hussain

CM Revanth Reddy-led Congress Government has been focusing keenly on education and skilling. As a result Government has attempted at a rejig of collegiate education with new VCs in all the new universities. Besides focusing on academic credentials, Government has also ensured social justice in choosing new VCs.
