Following the attack on 57year-old psychiatry doctor in Wichita, Kansas, the police have officially identified the deceased as Dr Achutha Reddy.
As per the police, the accused is said to be the client of the doctor and visited him twice on the ill-fated Wednesday evening at the Holistic Physhiatric Clinic in East Wichita. The suspect visited the clinic earlier in the day. Later he returned along with the doctor in the evening.
Hearing the disturbances from Dr Reddy’s room, the manager entered the office to find the accused attacking the victim. Despite her attempts to foil the attack, the alleged chased the doctor as he tried to flee. The doctor was again attacked second time in the alley.
Police received a call around 7:22pm who located him dead in pool of blood in the alley behind the clinic. A security guard near the Wichita Country Club noticed a man in a car in the parking with blood on him. Around 7:40pm police got a suspicious character call and were dispatched at the Club where they arrested 21-year-old Umar Dutt was arrested Wednesday night.
Dr Reddy (57) hails from Seetharampuram in Miryalguda town of Nalgonda district. The reason for the attack is yet to be known.
