Finance Minister Arun Jaitley continued his attack on Telugu people and Telugu states. Addressing the media last evening, Jaitley was speaking about the Special Category Status and other aspects.
During this event, former Minister and Telangana BJP leader K Pushpa Leela interfered and raised the issue of ‘No cash’ boards at the ATMs. She further demanded that the Centre should immediately send cash to the Telugu states, keeping the troubles being faced by the people.
Reacting to this, Arun Jaitley held the Telugu people responsible for the ‘No Cash’ boards. ‘Telugu people themselves are the sole reason for ‘No Cash’ boards to appear at the ATMs. They are stocking up large cash reserves in their homes, because of which, there is no sufficient cash available at the Banks. This is leading to the ‘No Cash’ board’s appearance at the ATMs.
We have sent enough currency notes to Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Frankly speaking, we sent more than required. This situation has arisen because people are storing the cash reserves in banks and houses.’
It might have only taken time, but the BJP’s attitude and approach towards the Telugu States are clearly being exposed in recent times.
