Sharath Koppula, 26, hailing from Warangal, Telangana was shot dead on Friday in Missouri state of USA. He is pursuing his masters in the University of Missouri.
As per the reports in local media of Kansas, a shooting took place in J’s Fish and Chicken Market around 7pm on Friday and Sharath Koppula was seriously wounded in this incident. He was immediately shifted to anearby hospital where he was declared dead.
Two eye witnesses reported that they heard gunshots inside the restaurant and the suspects took to heels by the time they reached the spot.
Sharath’s father is a BSNL employee in Hyderabad. Speaking to Telugu media, he said two of Sharath’s friends survived the shooting by escaping the bullets, but his son was shot dead.
Not much information about this incident is available with Sharath’s parents and they have been trying to get the help of external affairs minister and Telangana minister KTR to bring the body back to India.
