Cincinnati: In a tragic road accident, two Telugus were killed and two others were injured when the car they were travelling in veered off and hit a road-side tree near Hebron in Boone County, Kentucky State of the USA on Saturday night. According to the police, the victims were identified as Rama Varahabhatla (35) of Louisville, 25-year-old Raja Sekhar Reddy Yarmala, Venkat Prasad Kommu (27), Anvesh Kumar (24) were travelling north on North Bend Road near River Road after 10 pm, reported Cincinnati.com.
Death was instant for Venkat Prasad Kommu due to severe impact of the collision, while Raja Sekhar Reddy Yarmala, who was airlifted to University of Cincinnati Medical Center (UCMC) following life-threatening injuries, succumbed to his injuries on Sunday midnight.
Anvesh, who was entrapped in the rear, was rescued and freed with injuries by Hebron Fire and Emergency Medical Services. Anvesh along with Rama Varahabhatla are undergoing treatment in St. Elizabeth’s Hospital Florence. And they are expected to be discharged soon. Officials of the Boone County Sheriff’s Office Accident Reconstruction Unit are investigating the case and are yet determine the cause of the collision. However, no case has been registered against the driver and it is learnt that Rama is co-operating with the investigation.
