Tense situation is being witnessed in Gosha Mahal and surrounding areas in Old City of Hyderabad. The reason for palpable unease in these areas is, the arrest of two miscreants by police near firebrand BJP leader Raja Singh’s residence on Sunday.
According to the inputs from Old City sources, two miscreants named Mohd Khaza and Ismail were spotted near Raja Singh’s residence by his personal security team. As the miscreants appeared suspicious, security personal nabbed them and handed over to Mangalhat Police Station.
As the news spread, BJP supporters and Raja Singh’s followers started arriving at his residence and demanded for the comprehensive investigation of the two miscreants.
Though police have not yet released an official statement, it is believed that the two youth possessed arms, which led to the suspicion and their arrest. To avoid any further trouble, police have stepped up security in and around Gosha Mahal and also diverting traffic in the area.
Meanwhile, commenting on the incident, MLA Raja Singh expressed confidence that incidents like these will not affect his courage. He demanded Hyderabad police for a thorough investigation.
