Naga Chaitanya’s Thandel is the most expensive film in his career. The film directed by Chandoo Mondeti will hit the screens in February. The team is waiting for some special permissions from the Indian Navy as some of the episodes are to be shot on the sea. The episode shoot is pending and the permissions got delayed. This is the real reason why the movie team opted out for a February 2025 release. Else, Thandel would have been released for Christmas. Thandel is also a big bet for Allu Aravind and his team. They are risking beyond the market of Naga Chaitanya.
However, a major portion from the budget is recovered through the digital deal. If the film fares well in theatres, Thandel would be a profitable film for GA2 Pictures. Sai Pallavi is returning back to Telugu cinema after a while. Naga Chaitanya plays a fisherman and the film happens in the coastal region of Srikakulam district. Right from the dialect to the look, Chaitanya was well trained before he joined the shoot. The pending shoot of Thandel is expected to be completed in December.
