Notwithstanding the opposition ridicule, chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu claims he works for 18 hours a day. He has been following the schedule ever since he became CM in 1994. The other day, his son and TDP national general secretary, N Lokesh also wondered, how at the age 65 his father ws single highhandedly steering Andhra Pradesh into the top slot of advanced states. The question flashes across one’s mind is that what is the secret of his health.
Yesterday, Naidu made apparent the secret of his health. He eats eggs.” I eat everyday an egg” he announced to the cheering crowd at World Egg Day celebrations.
” Every day without fail I eat one egg. Eating egg is important for one’s health. You can eat full egg or white alone. Eating white egg is important to keep oneself fit. I like white egg and take a lot of white,” he said about his habit adding that he was healthy because egg was part of his menu every day.
He used the occasion to campaign on pet theory. That shifting from agriculture. Normally, poultry is promoted as allied activity in agriculture. But, Naidu, advised farmers to diversify into poultry and dairy sectors as too much dependence on agriculture has led to diminishing returns for them.
“The vagaries of nature and fluctuations in market are ruining the farmer financially and therefore they should look for new frontiers to augment income,” he said.
The chief minister reminded that poultry and dairy had been recognized as economy’s growth engines. Already these two sectors had recorded 11 per cent growth.
He appreciated the industry stating that AP stood second in egg production after Tamil Nadu. “The state’s share in world’s egg production is 0.98 per cent and India’s, 5.33 per cent. It should grow and reach top level.” he said.
