Supreme Star Sai Dharamtej has been racing towards the top league in Tollywood. He surprised the audience with his outstanding performance and stunning dance moves. With just four films old, Tej is now one of the busiest actors in Tollywood. He already scored massive hits like Subramanyam For Sale and Supreme which crossed Rs 20 crore mark which has been still a dream for many young actors. Sai Dharamtej has been on cloud nine after back to back hits and he wrapped up the shoot of his upcoming release Thikka.
The movie is directed by Suneel Reddy who directed Kalyanram’s Om in the past. Though the makers have planned to wrap up the movie on a budget of Rs 12 crores, the movie’s budget creeped up and it costed Rs 22 crores. With Rs 1 crore more for promotions, the makers have been in risk zone with Thikka. Sai Dharamtej is the only hope for the film and he can bring out massive crowds on the release day. But to recover the investments, the movie should have enough stuff. Larissa is the female lead who is new to Tollywood and Rohan Reddy produced the movie.
Dil Raju who produced Subramanyam For Sale and Supreme made handsome profits as the budget of the movie has been restricted to Rs 11-12 crores. Both the movies made Rs 20 crores in its final run and now Thikka is currently a risky film in terms of budget which is Rs 23 crores. We have to wait and see if Sai Dharamtej carries the entire movie on his shoulders to recover the massive investment.
