With most of the big budget films gearing up for Summer release, a slew of medium and low budget films are releasing every Friday from the past couple of weeks. It’s like raining films every Friday and the flurry of releases is expected to continue till the last week of this month.

This week, three medium budget films – Shaurya, Kalyana Vibhogame and Guntur Talkies will test their luck at the box office. Interestingly, all these films are carrying positive reports from the industry circles. Manchu Manoj starrer Shaurya will have major screen count and will be biggest ever release in his career. Touted to be a romantic thriller, the film features Regina Cassandra as the female lead. Dasradh is the director.

Actor Naga Shaurya, who could capitalize on his debut success, is desperate to score to hit with Kalyana Vibhogame, a family entertainer from Nandini Reddy. The film promises to be a coming of age love story with a perfect blend of family values and traditions. Malavika Nair is playing the heroine in the film.

Award winning filmmaker Praveen Sattaru’s rustic drama Guntur Talkies is also in the fray. The film boasts an ensemble cast and young technical team. The impressive pre release promotions have increased the buzz on this interesting film. Shradda Das, Manchu Lakshmi, Reshma Gautham , Naresh and Siddu will be seen in important roles.

It will be interesting to see which of these movies will gain upper hand at the box office this Friday.
