The trend of biopics is in full swing across the country. Movies are being made on the life stories of several legendary personalities. However, the next trend seems to be Thriller Biopics. The sensational case of Sunanda Pushkar will soon be unveiled on Silver screen.
Sunanda Pushkar was an Indian businesswoman and the wife of Indian former diplomat and politician Shashi Tharoor. She was a sales director in the Dubai-based TECOM Investments, and a co-owner of the India-based Rendezvous Sports World. Her death created sensation as there were allegations on Shashi Tharoor killing her.
As per reports, Deepika Padukone will be playing the role of Sunanda in the movie. Director Sriram Raghavan will be directing the movie. He is notable for producing a 45-minute docufiction on Indian serial killer Raman Raghav and 2004 Hindi feature film Ek Hasina Thi produced by Ram Gopal Varma. His second feature film was 2007’s Johnny Gaddar and that was a blockbuster. His latest film Andhadhun (2018) received positive reviews and was commercially successful.
