This summer season seems to be very superb for Tollywood as it gave career best moments for the stars, directors and production banners.
Tollywood kick-started this summer with Rangasthalam that not only became biggest hit in the career of Ram Charan, Sukumar and Mythri makers, it also transformed Ram Charan into ’s career as it into very good actor from a regular star. It also redefined Sukumar’s image from ‘overseas’ director into director of all classes as he got his biggest hit in ‘B’, ‘C’ centers till date. Mythri’s first hattrick made them most sought after production house in Tollywood.
Next big movie Bharat Ane Nenu continued the up-trend and went on to become one of the biggest hits in career of Mahesh Babu and made Koratala Siva most sought after director in Tollywood. Next big movie that was released is Allu Arjun “Naa Peru Surya” that is not a hit at box office, but it brought out Allu Arjun’s career best performance as military person.
Then, Mahanati movie, that was released couple of days back turns out to be the biggest classic hit in the career of Vyjayanthi movies banner. Ashwini Dutt used to tell that even though he made great commercial hits with Chiranjeevi and NTR, he was never able to make a movie that is on par with classic like Shankarabaranam. Ashwini Dutt this is now an elated man he got such a classic hit in the form of Mahanati. This is the first biggest hit for the banner after his daughters took over the production and so it is even more memorable for him as a father.
Heroine Samantha to tweeted recently that – this is the happiest season in her career as she got hattrick hits as well as great applause for her roles. She got hattrick with Rangasthalam, Mahanati and Irumbu Thirai. All the three movies are commercial hits as well as brought her good name.
Finally, Keerthi Suresh got her career best performance this summer as her reprisal of Savithri role bringing her accolades from so many great actors as well as the audience. Probably she will be remembered for this role for years to come.
Overall, this has been a superb summer for Tollywood!
