Even after delivering two blockbusters, director Tharun Bhascker chose to make his third movie with mostly upcoming actors, besides playing one of the lead roles. While his first movie Pelli Choopulu was a wholesome family entertainer, his second Ee Nagaraniki Emaindhi was a youthful entertainer. Keedaa Cola is a unique crime comedy which is his favorite genre.
The director informs the idea of this movie came during the lockdown period when he was having a casual discussion with his friends regarding the routes to earn money. “Keedaa Cola is a unique movie and it will be entertaining all through. We trimmed the movie by 15 minutes, to make the narrative racy.”
The emotions in Pelli Choopulu and Ee Nagaraniki Emaindhi looked natural and realistic. “Compared to my previous movies, I took cinematic liberty for Keedaa Cola. Everything in Pelli Choopulu looks logical. There will be gunshots, blasts, etc.”
Tharun Bhascker says the character Naidu played by him is one of his favorite characters written by him.
