Jana Senani Pawan Kalyan yet again asserted that there would not be a possibility for his party to ally with the YSR Congress Party in 2019 AP election. During his visit to Chennai, he said that it would be inevitable that there would be triangular contests across the state with Jana Sena making preparations to contest all the 175 segments. His comments gave indications of three major parties and their allies confronting each other.
Pawan’s clarifications came amid allegations by rival parties that he is going to become friendly to the BJP, YSR Congress Party and the TRS in Telangana. Considering next month’s election in Telangana, Pawan said that his party had not taken any decision on how to go about this election and he had no given any directions to his fans there whom to support and whom to oppose. A decision would be taken after holding discussions on the issue.
Jana Senani said that his visit to Chennai was very memorable and this would not be like this in Telangana where Andhra leaders were being treated as second-grade leaders. One should understand the plight of common folks if this is the reaction of a celebrity leader. Pawan actually had big plans for Telangana elections but his party could not enter the fray because of sudden early elections opted by CM K Chandrasekhara Rao.
Referring to corruption-tainted Jaganmohan Reddy and his YSRCP, Pawan Kalyan said that there is a need for encouraging honest and transparent leaders in South India as a whole which is necessary to ensure a better deal to the people in these states. Pawan said that Jagan is no moral position to talk about corruption because of his background while AP CM Chandrababu Naidu is only interested in power and political manoeuvers.
