Several TRS leaders are coming out aggressively against critics of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and issuing warning against such biased accusations. Telangana Transport minister P. Mahender Reddy has strongly warned critics of the Chief Minister, especially the Congress and said that the TRS will not keep quiet if they indulged in loose talk.
Asserting that Chief Minister has kept his promises, he deplored Congress leaders are criticising him day and night, levelling false allegations. He asked them what did the Congress done in 50 years for development of Telangana.
Mahender Reddy alleged Congress leaders were indulging in double talk and double standards. He wondered that while one Congress leader demands irrigation facilities to farmers and drinking water to people, another one moves court to stall projects. Is it not deliberate attempt to defame the government, he asked.
Against the backdrop of the Telangana Joint Action Committee’s (TJAC) social media campaign against TRS government’s policies, the State government has suggested that it might invoke cyber laws to block negative information against it in the digital realm.
TRS MLC Karne Prabhakar had also earlier issued a warning to those spreading falsehood against the CM on social media. He deplored that there was a vicious campaign against the CM on social media.
He accused that social media is being misused and some politicos, particularly Congress leaders, are trying to jeer the Chief Minister by circulating his morphed videos and speeches, out of context on the social media. He warned that Cyber-crime police will take action against such people.
Meanwhile, Telangana Advocates, JAC leaders – Kontham Goverdhan Reddy and Ch Upendra, lodged a complaint with the Deputy Commissioner (cyber-crime), seeking action against those, who are defaming the Chief Minister. The Cyber-crime police registered a case.
