TRS MP Boora Narasiah Goud today made a sensational revelation stating that Telangana Chief Minister and TRS Chief K Chandrasekhar Rao will not continue as Chief Minister after 2019 polls. Moreover, he said that his leader will moves to national politics and is certain to play a decisive role at the Centre.
Till now TRS is not showing interest to play a role at national politics by keeping a distance from both BJP-led NDA and Congress-led UPA, besides Left. Though recently Chandrasekhar Rao by supporting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s demonetisation move trying to cultivate rapport with the central government, his party leaders are indicating that was confined only to seek necessary funds for the state.
TRS leaders stating that they are interested only in Telangana’s development and ready to coordinate with any government or party, but not interested to be seen as an ally of a particular political formation. However, Bhongir MP Goud’s revelation surprising everyone in the political circles indicating emergence of well cultivated political strategy among TRS leaders.
It may be recalled that already Chandrasekhar Rao has started cultivating his son and IT Minister K T Rama Rao as his `political successor’. Till recently, Chief Minister’s nephew and Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao was seen as a competitor for KTR to succeed KCR. But in recent times, both KTR and Harish Rao have been moving together indicating no rift among them for succession.
For the first time earlier this week Harish Rao has appreciated KTR’s pro-active initiatives for the growth of IT sector in Hyderabad city. During Assembly winter session daily attending strategy sessions in the chamber of Harish Rao, KTR too indicated that both of them having `perfect understanding’.
TRS sources says this may be due to Chief Minister giving clarity to them on his choice for his succession. Narasaih Goud said that KCR himself would nominate his successor as Chief Minister, which would be came to know only after 2019 polls.
