Is the ruling party TRS targeting Congress working president and contestant from Kodangal Assembly Segment Mr. Revanth Reddy? The circumstances are saying ‘Yes’ to this question as the multiple agencies are being continuing raids on him and his associates.
Before the commencement of poll-fight, Mr. Revanth faced Income Tax raids and the I-T sleuths after two-day searches found no undisclosed amount or any benami transactions. Recently, the Flying Squads established by the Election Commission of India (ECI) that consists of police, revenue and excise teams started frequent raids on Revnath Reddy and his followers’ houses.
On Friday, the Flying squads conducted raids on Revanth’s key associate and ZPTC Member Mr. Rajesh Reddy in Chawdaripally of Kodangal Segment. On the very next day (Saturday) the special parties and flying squads organised searches at other key associates including Yousuf, Musthaq, Ramachandra Reddy and Madhusudhan Reddy.
Opposing the mid-night raids, Mr. Revanth Reddy along with Congress Party workers held a protest till wee hours of Sunday and criticised the TRS party and Chief Minister KCR by raising slogans.
Speaking to media, Mr. Revanth said, “The police have no powers to conduct raids without any search warrant. Though the government continue its strategy that create impediments to me, I never afraid on it and the Prajakutami will win with huge majority.”
