The ADR (Association for Democratic Reforms) came up with an interesting report, publishing total assets and liabilities of various regional parties.
According to the report, Samajwadi Party (UP) is having total assets of Rs 634.96 crores for the 2015-2016 fiscal year. Similarly, AIADMK (Tamil Nadu) and Shiv Sena (Maharashtra) are having assets of Rs 224.84 crores and Rs 39.568 crores at the same time.
Along with AIFB (All India Forward Bloc), these three are the only parties to have a steady increase in their assets value over the years.
Meanwhile, Chandrababu Naidu-led TDP had total liabilities worth Rs 8.186 crores, only second to TRS, which has liabilities to the tune of Rs 15.97 crores, for the fiscal year 2015 – 2016.
What’s surprising is that the liabilities of TDP have increased from Rs 5.47 crores (2014 – 2015) to Rs 8.186 crores (2015 – 2016), a jump in 259%.
The capital fund of TDP shot up to Rs 46.09 crores (’15 – ‘16) from Rs 11.538 crores (’14 – ’15), an increase of 299%.
