After opposition parties condemning cancellation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appointment with all-party delegation from Telangana, led by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, scheduled for yesterday, now TRS leaders are also joining them. The appointment was sought in advance to submit their representation on the SC categorisation.
Chandrashekar Rao, who returned from his three-day visit to national capital New Delhi, this evening after failing to get a chance of meeting Prime Minister, has reportedly asked his party colleagues in a desperate mood “is it the reward we are getting for extending unconditional support for Modi’s demonetisation move bearing attacks from the opposition”.
TRS floor leader in the Lok Sabha, A.P. Jithender Reddy calling it a “shameless act”, wondered how the Prime Minister can cancels the appointment already given, allegedly at the advice of some BJP leaders.
TRS leaders were seen in disturbed after knowing that the Prime Minister could spare time today for Amaravati farmers, to receive felicitations from them for exemption of capital gain tax, though it was not scheduled earlier.
Jithender Reddy said openly that KCR was unhappy for this shady treatment. Causing more awkward situation to BJP leadership, he made these comments while speaking in the Lok Sabha on the motion to thanks to the President for his address to the joint
session of Parliament.
Reddy said the cancellation of the appointment is quite painful and needs protest and condemnation. “Though the TRS and the Chief Minister have been supporting the NDA government on all important issues, how can such thing (cancellation of appointment) be allowed to happen,” he asked.
However, labour Minister Bandaru Dattatreya, who was present in the House, try to pacify him refuting his allegations. He said as state BJP leaders have been supporting the SC categorisation, there is no truth in the allegation. Stating that he doesn’t know the reasons for the cancellation of the appointment, he try to clarify that it may not be cancelled, but only postponed.
