AP and TS Chief Secretaries to resolve the sensitive issue of allocation of staff of Special Protection Force, Grey Hounds, Octopus, the elite security agencies in United Andhra Pradesh formed to take on Maoist menace and terror groups.
Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states have decided to resolve the ticklish issue of division of the employees of Special Protection Force (SPF) police personnel. This was decided during the 15th Advisory Meeting of the Centre appointed Committee headed by Kamalanathan. The Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary I Y R Krishna Rao and Telangana Chief Secretary Rajeev Sharma will meet soon to resolve the division of staff of the SPF. So far the committee has completed allocation of staff of 66 departments between the two state, and sent the list of allocation of staff of 53 departments to the Centre for its approval. The committee will have to finalise the allocation of staff of 10 more departments and it is in the process. Once the allocation of 10 ten departments is over then the process of division of employees between the two states as per the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisaton Act, 2014 will be completed. The entire process is expected to be completed by March, 2016.
