Telangana Deputy CM and Minister of Education Kadiyam Srihari said that Agriculture is being celebrated in the state.
‘Everyone knows the deplorable state of Agriculture before the formation of Telangana state. Continuous interruptions of power meant that the farmers were not able to wet their farmlands. Cultivable lands have turned out to be barren lands. The farmers were made to stand in queue lines for hours, and days together.
There was not even Farmer Loan Waiver, nor Farmers’ Investment Support Scheme (FISS). No one was even bothered about the state of the farmer in the region. Once Telangana came, the entire scenario has changed. With an aim of making the farmer the King, KCR is giving 24-hour free electricity to the farmers. The farmers need not stand in the queue lines for fertilizers anymore.
Farmers loans worth more than 17,000 crores have been waived off for 38 lakh farmers. An incentive of Rs 8000/acre is being given to farmers under the ‘Rythu Bandhu’ program. Did any CM think about the farmers this way?’ questioned Kadiyam Srihari.
Though the above said are true from the TRS Govt.’s perception, it is clear that the TS Deputy CM has already started campaigning for 2019 Telangana Assembly Elections.
