The Telangana government will construct two more mega hospitals in Hyderabad in addition the existing Osmania, Gandhi and King Koti hospital. These five hospital will provide state-of-the art treatment to the people of Telangana.
Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao instructed official to take steps to identify ideal location to construct the new hospitals. In a meeting held at camp office this afternoon, KCR said the hospitals should be equipped with all facilities and apparatus to provide treatment on a par with international hospitals. He said the steps should be taken to make available everything in these hospital from best diagnosis facilities to the advanced treatment. He also said adequate budget would be allocated in the next budget for these hospitals. To the benefit of workers in the coal belt, a super specialty hospital would be buit in coal belt area. Similarly, all regional hospitals, including the MGM hospital in Warangal, will be upgraded. Another important decision the government has taken in the meeting is related to the extension special allowance to the personnel working in intelligence, security and CID. The meeting recommended 25 per cent of the basic pay as special allowance to the employees working in these wings. Similarly, the CM asked the officials to expedite the process of regularizing the service of contract employees. The government also decided to enhance the remuneration of outsourced employees as well.
