Rumour mills are churning that the reason behind the defeat of former Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao is the factionalism in TRS.
Differences in TRS have affected the majority constituencies in the district. However, the name of TRS senior leader and former Minister, Tummala Nageswara Rao, who was defeated in the Assembly elections from Palair in Khammam district can be heard from Khammam parliamentary constituency.
It is also heard that the supporters of Tummala are putting pressure on him to contest in the parliamentary polls. We can assume that if Chief Minister KCR decides to give a chance to TRS senior leaders, there is a possibility that Tummala will get the ticket to contest in the elections.
But after the defeat, the former minister went to various constitutions and preached the cadre to win the Panchayats. He expressed his sorrow on his defeat along with others in the constituency even though the party developed the district in all spheres.
According to the sources, if KCR is interested in being an MP, then Tummala will lose his chance to contest in the Lok Sabha polls. So we can say that the Tummala’s next political step is dependent on the decision of KCR.
