YSRCP president Jagan Mohan Reddy made visit to the former congress MP Undavalli Arun Kumar house. Jagan landed in Rajahmundry airport and drove directly to Arun Kumar house to console him for his mother’s death. Arun Kumar mother died at the time of Assembly proceedings. At that time, he ringed to senior MP and expressed his grief.
Jagan visit signals reunion in political circles. Undavalli shares special bonding with YS Raja Sekhar Reddy. After his demise, he maintained distance with Jagan and even criticised Jagan for going against congress leadership. With the announcement of state bifurcation, he moved close to Kiran Kumar Reddy by announcing rebellion against congress high command. But with changing dynamics in politics, he again inched towards YSRCP.
There was strong speculation among political circles that he will join YSRCP anytime soon. Along with him, another senior congress leader and former minister Vatti Vasanth Kumar also eyeing YSRCP for political mileage. In the current situation, congress has no future in the Andhra Pradesh.
Some of the congress seniors realised the fact and jumped into TDP and YSRCP before 2014 elections. But some seniors like Vatti remained as muted spectator. Now he is pulling his socks. Already ruling TDP is full with defectors and heavy completion is expected for 2019 elections. That’s why he had chosen YSRCP.
