The friendship between TRS and YSRCP is not the latest one but has been brewing up since 2014 elections, observe political analysts, while recalling the soft response from YS Jaganmohan Reddy when his MP and other MLAs defected to the pink party. Further, the vehicles, which are being used by YSRCP in the ongoing election campaign, were reportedly supplied by TRS as the pink party used them in the Assembly elections in December 2018. These vehicles have been modified with new painting with YSRCP flags, symbols and YS Jaganmohan Reddy picture.
A couple of months ago, YSRCP leaders in last January distributed wall clocks in Madanapalli, Chittoor district. The wall clocks bear the photo of Rajampet former MP Peddireddy Mithun Reddy and Fan symbol. If this label is removed, interestingly, the wall clocks have pics of KCR and Peddapalli MLA Dasari Manohar Reddy. The leftover wall clocks after distribution in Telangana election campaign were distributed in Madanapalli. These episodes are revealing the nexus between both the parties.
On YSRCP ticket, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy won in Khammam Lok Sabha constituency. Payam Venkateshwarlu, Tati Venkateshwarlu and Banotu Madanlal won as MLAs. Soon after elections in 2014, Madanlal and Tati Venkateshwarlu joined TRS, Subsequently, MP Ponguleti and MLA Payam Venkateshwarlu followed the suit. Moreover, these three MLAs had submitted a letter to the Assembly Speaker stating that they’re merging their party into TRS. Reacting to this, YSRCP just gave a normal statement condemning such act. But, YSRCP never complained to Speaker and resorted to legal fight against the defection. Considering these under current soft corner for each other hold a strong view on the long-lasting friendship between the TRS and YSRCP, maintained the analysts.
