2023 is coming to an end and there is a rush of films hitting the screens in December. Nani’s Hi Nanna will release on December 7th while Varun Tej’s Operation Valentine and Nithiin’s Extra Ordinary Man are hitting the screens on December 8th. Vishwak Sen’s Gangs Of Godavari is announced for December 8th but there is no clarity about the release plan. Hi Nanna, Operation Valentine and Extra Ordinary Man are releasing in a gap of a day. There would be stiff competition between these films and the buzz generated around each film depends on the trailer and the promotional content.
The team of Hi Nanna is yet to get a solid theatrical deal and there are no buyers for some of the regions. Hi Nanna is an emotional film that will impress the multiplex audience and with number of films around, the asking prices are less than those of the recent Nani’s films. Sony Pictures is backing Operation Valentine and they will have to take the risk and release the film on their own considering the recent poor show of Varun Tej. Extra Ordinary Man is produced by Nithiin’s home banner Sreshth Movies and they recovered the investment through the non-theatrical deals. They would head for own release as the asking deals are not satisfying.
With three releases falling on the same weekend, there is no solid theatrical business registered for Hi Nanna, Extra Ordinary Man and Operation Valentine. The best thing happened for these films is that all the non-theatrical deals are closed in advance.
