Sankranthi releases F2 and Petta had a strong Saturday at the US box office. NTR Kathanayakudu continued to underperform and Vinaya Vidheya Rama is heading towards becoming a colossal disaster.
Rajinikanth’s Petta, which surpassed the million dollar mark on Friday, collected a solid $ 531K on Saturday to take the total past 1.6 million dollarmark. Rajinikanth’s one man show is helping the film have a terrific run in overseas despite mixed reports.
Venky – Varun starrer F2, directed by Anil Ravipudi, is having a terrific run at the US box office with a superb Saturday haul. After grossing quarter million from premiers, the film notched up a solid $ 380K to cross the $600K effortlessly. The hilarious narration coupled with Venky’s trademark acting has been the selling point for the film despite few flaws.
NTR Kathanayakudu, which started off well, is underperforming in the first weekend. The film is struggling to touch the million dollar mark even after five days. With Saturday’s $ 105K, the total gross stands at $ 815K which is very disappointing from trade’s perspective.
Ram Charan’s Vinaya Vidheya Rama is heading towards becoming a colossal disaster in overseas. After an embarrassing start with $ 180K, the film had a terrible Friday and Saturday as the total is $ 233K.
