Remember Venu Thottempudi? The veteran comedy hero who was known for some family entertainers like ‘Swayamvaram’ etc. Well, he found himself in the news for all the wrong reasons today.
Going into details, a residential flat in Banjara Hills belonging to Venu was leased out to an Iranian doctor named Fatemi. The doctor paid an advance of about Rs. 88,000 to Venu and after staying there for several months, she has decided to vacate the flat.
That is when trouble started. The Iranian doctor alleged that Venu refused to return the advance, citing some excuse or the other. This enraged the doctor, who went and lodged a police case in the Banjara Hills Police Station.
When officers contacted Venu, he decided to settle the case with the Iranian doctor rather than head for prosecution. The matter seems to have been resolved now.
