Sensational duo Puri Jagannadh and Vijay Deverakonda are teaming up for the first time with Liger. The movie is announced for August 25th this year in all the Indian languages. The makers are closing all the deals and the non-theatrical deals are closed some time ago. Now, the latest update says that the Telugu theatrical rights of the film are sold out. Warangal Srinu acquired the theatrical rights of Liger for Rs 70 crores. This is a record among Vijay Deverakonda’s movies.
The post-production work of Liger is happening at a fast pace. The film will head for a wide release in Hindi through Karan Johar who is co-producing Liger along with Puri Jagannadh. Vijay Deverakonda essays the role of a boxer in this sports drama and Ananya Pandey is the leading lady. Puri Connects and Dharma Productions are the producers.
