The ruling YCP leaders started forcefully defending their Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy against rising criticism from the Opposition parties after the CBI Court verdict. YCP says that TDP boss Chandrababu Naidu has no moral right to demand resignation of Jagan as he himself got exposed in the Vote for Note scam. MP Vijayasai Reddy asked whether Naidu didn’t get stay orders from the courts in over 18 corruption cases.
Going by Vijayasai’s comment, it is now clear that the YCP leaders are well prepared to counter the opposition attacks. Obviously, the Ministers and MLAs have done their home work to defend Jagan against any outcome of the AP CM’s Rs 43,000 cr CBI illegal assets cases. Now Jagan is highly unlikely to resign despite the fact that he will be having to attend CBI Court every Friday in his capacity as the chief minister.
New questions come up. Will the Andhra people be made to bear the Rs 60 lakh cost for every Jagan appearance before the Nampally CBI court in Hyderabad? The opposition leaders are demanding that Jagan should pay the court costs from his own pocket. Because of CM CBI cases, Andhra is in the news for all wrong reasons.
