Vijayasai Reddy, former MP and YSRCP leader, has strongly reacted to the recent comments made by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the party’s president. Addressing the media, Vijayasai Reddy clarified that he has always lived by strong values, trustworthiness, and character in both his personal and political life. He emphasized that he has never succumbed to any temptations or pressures. He further stated that his decision to step away from politics, including resigning from his MP post and party positions, was driven by his fearlessness and not due to any external factors.
Earlier, YS Jagan had commented on the recent exits of several leaders, including Vijayasai Reddy, during a media interaction. He stressed the importance of integrity and fearlessness in politics, urging leaders to remain steadfast and not compromise their principles. Jagan also highlighted that the strength of YSRCP lies in its dedicated workers, not just its leaders. He indirectly addressed Vijayasai Reddy’s resignation, stating that those who leave the party must reflect on their decisions.
Vijayasai Reddy had announced his unexpected resignation from politics on January 24, 2025, also stepping down from his Rajya Sabha membership. He clarified that his decision was not influenced by any external pressures and that he has no plans to join any other political party. Instead, he expressed his intention to focus on agriculture. Notably, his resignation came while YS Jagan was on a foreign tour, and Jagan had not initially responded to it.
In his latest remarks, Vijayasai Reddy countered YS Jagan’s comments, reiterating that his exit from politics was a fearless decision, free from any compromises or fears. He maintained that his actions were guided by his principles and not by any external influences.
