Visakhapatnam Airport To Launch E-Visa Facility
With an aim to boost the AP tourism and to increase the percentage of foreign tourists in Telugu states, the Union Home Minister has finally given permission for the visa on arrival facility at Visakhapatnam airport.
The foreign tourists can apply for the visa online and once they get authorization from the officials through e-mail, with which they can get the stamping upon arrival in Visakhapatnam.
In a statement released by minister Bhuma Akhila Priya, she stated that the e-visa facility will get started in Visakhapatnam from tomorrow and the port city will be added to the list of 16 cities like Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Chennai, Bangalore, Delhi, Goa, Jaipur, Gaya, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Tirucchi, Varanasi and Thiruvananthapuram in India, which already have this system. She also made it clear that with this facility, tourists from nearly 147 countries can directly come to Visakhapatnam.
She opined that this facility will help the foreign tourists entry to the state easier and the visitors can stay for two months with this e-visa. Also, people from countries like Finland, Newzealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Cambodia, Vietnam, Philippines, and Myanmar can directly come to Visakhapatnam without any visa.
