Vishal nomination finally REJECTED
The drama that surrounded Vishal’s nomination papers scrutiny was no less than any of the Vishal’s movies. First, news came that it was rejected by EC, then again the news came that it is accepted after Vishal clarified all queries and Final news is that it is rejected. The episode also had action part as there were protests and police interventions.
Earlier, his papers were rejected by EC saying the nomination papers were not correct and that caused lot of embarrassment to Vishal. But this Pandem Kodi seems to be a tough guy and stated that he will move to court and also made allegations that it is a political conspiracy. Then his followers even staged a protest and police detained them. Main reason for rejection was 2 of the members who proposed him as MLA in nomination papers later ascertained that they were COMPELLED to do so and so they are not really proposing.
But later, Vishal explained EC on the details he mentioned and clarified all their queries. He seems to have explained that the person who gave statement was threatened and so she backed out. Then all media channels started scrolling that – after Vishal’s explanation, EC confirmed Vishal’s candidature and finally Vishal’s papers were accepted. He even thanked EC.
Final twist in the story however, is an anticlimax for Vishal. EC’s final decision is rejection of Vishal’s papers making him ineligible for by-polls. We have to wait and see how Vishal reacts to this. As he earlier told, will he go to court? or will he leave this matter for now.
Anyway, the drama that surrounded the incident is not less than any movie Vishal acted in. But in Tamil Nadu, drama in politics seemed to be zeitgeist, of late.
