Hyderabad: ‘Vote for note’ scandal, which has created a storm in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh politics, has once again assumed centrestage with the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) court directing its officials to re-investigate and submit a report by September 29.
Following a forensic report on AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s voice submitted before the court by YSRCP leader and Mangalagiri MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy, the court agreed with the petitioner to re-investigate into the case.
It may be recalled that Telangana TDP MLA Revanth Reddy was caught offering Rs 50 lakh to MLA Elvys Stevenson in a sting operation in order to bribe the latter to support TDP in council elections.
Although, the case seemed to have die down for the past one year after Revanth secured bail, apparently, fear caught AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu as he faced severe embarrassment and criticism from the opposition.
