Warangal: Initial trends in the counting of votes for Warangal Lok Sabha constituency started here on Tuesday shows that the ruling TRS Party is ahead of all others, followed by Congress in the second, and BJP in the third position.
The voting pattern clearly indicating that in all the seven assembly segments under the Warangal Lok Sabha constituency, it was the TRS which is ahead of others. Except an initial lead established by BJP in Bhopalapalli assembly segments, it was the TRS which had gained momentum of lead over the BJP and Congress.
What is heartening for TRS was that voters in the urban segments of Warangal East and West assembly constituencies shows that people have voted en masses to TRS. By the end of seventh round of the counting of votes, the TRS has polled over 1.8 lakh votes counted in the seven assembly constituencies.
Counting of votes began at 7 am and the TRS has showed its edge over others right from the end of second round of counting of votes. While the main opposition in the State Assembly and the Congress has got only around 30,000 votes at the end of five rounds of counting, 29,000 votes were polled the BJP candidate. Meanwhile, the NOTA voting, voters expressing their choice not to vote any candidate in the fray have touched 1100 at the end of the seventh round of counting and still counting.
