The level of confidence is increasing in the TDP camp in the run up to the April 11 election. The field level positive response from the beneficiaries of massive welfare programmes has given the much needed last minute edge to the party. The surveys by national level organisation are also talking about Chandrababu Naidu’s game-changing programmes like Pasupu Kumkuma and Anna Sukhibhava farmers’ scheme.
Naidu addressed a public meeting in Vizianagaram when he spoke on how voluntarily the women, youth and farmer beneficiaries are coming forward to support the TDP. He told them how he was working hard for their welfare and asked them to give him salary for his hard work by voting and electing TDP candidates.
There are over 95,000 women beneficiaries of DWCRA groups under the Pasupu Kumkuma. They already got Rs. 6,000 in two installments and the third installment of Rs. 4,000 each would be deposited in their bank accounts next month. This would not come under the election code as the programme already came into effect much ahead of the announcement of election schedule.
