The political circles are fast coming to the viewpoint that YCP government is proving to be an all-out one-man show with senior leaders and advisors having no clear role of their own. The YCP leaders are growing impatient over CM Jagan’s single point agenda of implementing ‘Navaratnalu’ Cash Transfer promises. Many ruling party leaders want a balance between welfare and development but exactly the opposite is happening. So far, the government left an impression of being 100 per cent pro-welfare and zero industry-friendly.
Now, there’s a talk in political circles that this approach is giving big trouble but nobody can save the YCP government from this deepening crisis. It’s because nobody can dare give wise advice to Jagan Reddy. It’s because Jagan has no habit of taking advice. He is being seen as a very poor listener. Even senior IAS officers have already stopped giving their personal views on any policy fearing negative reactions from CM. The absence of advice from senior leaders and officials is becoming a point of great concern. YCP leaders are saying that it was different with YSR who used to listen to good advice. YSR also has advisers belonging to different regions and communities but that is not the case with his son who is surrounded by a small coterie having limited political experience.
