Why the Jagan Mohan Reddy Government has extended the last date for submission of tenders for sand contracts till November 6 relaxing the norms which ends on Monday, asked TDP spokesman, Kommareddy Pattabhiram, on Sunday.
The Jagan Reddy Government has extended the last date several times earlier and again now till November 6 which is to end on Monday, Pattabhiram told media persons. Pattabhi asked Minister for Energy and Environment, Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy, to come out with all the details why the guidelines for submitting the tenders for sand contracts have been relaxed suddenly.
Peddireddy should spell out the reasons as to why Special Person Vehicle (SPV) rule has been brought onto the scene in the sand contract tenders, Pattabhi asked. The TDP spokesman is of the opinion that Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, has given permission for the Special Person Vehicle only to hand over the sand reaches to the mafia dons.
Pattabhi felt that they are not Special Purpose Vehicles but special money vehicles which were designed by Jagan to transport cash on a large scale to the Tadepalle palace by these sand mafia dons. The TDP spokesman also asked Peddireddy to explain as to why the reserve price of Package-2, which has the maximum number of sand reaches, has been brought down from Rs 740 cr to Rs 691 cr.
Only recently Jagan has brought down extensively the bid security deposit for all the three packages for sand tender contracts, by Rs 43 cr, as a Dussera gift to his own followers, now brought down the Package-2 reserve price by Rs 50 cr which is nothing but a Deevali gift to them, he added. Jagan, who has illegally detained former chief minister, Chandrababu Naidu, in the jail, has already looted Rs 40,000 cr through sand and another Rs 1 lakh cr through liquor, has now raised the curtains to mint massive sum again through sand mafia, Pattabhi observed.
The TDP spokesman feels that Jagan, Peddireddy and his gang should be sent to jail for life term for looting the State on such a massive scale. Pattabhi demanded the Centre to order for a CBI inquiry into this massive sand scam to bring to light the facts how Jagan is looting the State.
If the Centre does not respond positively, the TDP will take legal recourse to seek a CBI probe to bring the facts to light in this sand scam, Pattabhiram said. As the elections to the State Assembly are fast approaching, Jagan is out to mint as much money as possible, Pattabhi added.
