YCP district level and second rung leaders are making a beeline to Secretariat to meet CM Jaganmohan Reddy everyday. The YCP has come to power after a long time. So the party leaders are in a big rush to get transfers for their close officials and also get work approvals. The new government has lifted ban on the transfers. This has led to a heavy rush to the Secretariat from all over the state.
Jagan initially could manage the heavy crowds but the transfers they are asking for are proving to be very difficult to tackle. Against this backdrop, Jagan slowly reduced number of visits to the Secretariat. He is mostly holding his review meetings at Tadepalli Camp Office. The top officials are discussing that the CM is obviously avoiding his party men as he is not happy with too many requests for transfers and works. Prior to the elections, Jagan promised to take care of the party leaders after coming to power. But it’s not easy to administer if he has to fulfill all the requests of party leaders. His populist image is becoming a bane rather than a boon in administration.
