Telangana CM K Chandrasekhara Rao first made a whole lot of negative comments against AP CM N Chandrababu Naidu but he later fell silent. KCR usually gives a quick counter but this time he has not broken his silence on Naidu’s strong counter. Naidu has said it was KCR who orchestrated the Viceroy episode that eventually led to the fall of NTR politically and the rising of CBN as the leader of the Telugu Desam Party permanently.
Naidu’s comment is a heavily loaded one but KCR has no counter for the same. There are obvious reasons for KCR’s speechlessness as he himself became a minister in the Naidu Cabinet afterwards and so he is definitely one of the beneficiaries of the Viceroy coup. Now on behalf of KCR, TRS ex Minister Jagadeesh Reddy hit back at Naidu. He said KCR would have become the chief minister at that time itself if he was really the mastermind behind the Viceroy episode. How could Naidu become CM if KCR orchestrated the coup? asked Jagadeesh.
TDP leaders counter Jagadeesh Reddy’s comments, asking whether KCR was on the side of Naidu or not in that crucial phase in TDP internal politics. TDP leaders are also questioning the silence of KCR in this respect which means the TRS chief’s lack of confidence to face CBN’s charges.
