The ruling TDP is criticising Prime Minister Narendra Modi ahead of his January 6 visit to AP. The TDP is asking why Modi is avoiding visits to developmental projects like Polavaram and Amaravati to address only BJP’s party public meeting. At the same time, the TDP is asking why Opposition leader Jaganmohan Reddy and Jana Senani Pawan Kalyan are not talking about Special Category Status and reorganisation promises ahead of Modi’s visit.
For a long time now, the TDP leaders have said there are secret deals between Modi, Jagan and Pawan. This is why the YCP and Jana Sena leader are not placing any demands before Modi on lack of progress in reorganisation promises. Raising this issue, CM Chandrababu Naidu said Jagan and Pawan owed an explanation to the public on their silence with regard to the failures of the Modi government at the Centre.
Talking in a tele conference to party leaders, Naidu said Modi’s forthcoming visit was aimed at sprinkling chilli powder on the wounds caused to AP people by way of bifurcation injustices. CBN said in his capacity as PM, Modi should have visited Polavaram irrigation project and extend required support for the same. He further said there was nothing Modi has done for helping the crisis-ridden AP and this is why he would be able to tell nothing in his public meeting here.
