Everyday, there are sensational reports on ticket aspirants shifting loyalties from TDP to YCP and vice versa. But not many candidates are showing interest to join Jana Sena Party. Strong candidates with wide experience in politics are not coming forward. Even in the twin Godavari districts, the situation is no different.
While the rival parties are getting ready for the elections, Jana Senani Pawan Kalyan is still unable to attract well established leaders to his side. Analysts say Jana Senani’s style of calling for applications from candidates and his lack of taking timely decisions have come as serious hurdles. In most segments, Jan Sena received applications from Pawan’s fans who have neither political clout nor background to tackle an election.
Jana Sena has now realised the disadvantage of not having long-standing political leaders in the party. Except a few, there are no senior leaders. But it is already too late. The elections are round the corner. By now, the party should have got some power of attraction that would bring a political edge to it. Jana Senani’s loss is proving to be YCP’s gain. There is a sudden rush among leaders in north Andhra region to join YCP. This is reason why many leaders are joining YCP after losing hopes of getting TDP ticket to contest elections. Future holds greater challenges for Pawan.
