Hyderabad: There will be a new turn in Nayeem case as Special Investigation Team (SIT) officials set to file a chargesheet tentatively on Monday or Tuesday. However, will the names of big shots surface in the chargesheet is the question. Renegade-turned-gangster Nayeemuddin has become sensation in the Telugu States after he was shot dead by the police during an encounter. Land encroachments, land settlements and extortion and several illegal businesses came to light during the probe.
The former Maoist also joined many members into his group to flourish his illegal dhanda. Police officer including former DGP of united Andhra Pradesh Dinesh Reddy’s name was also out for having links with Nayeem. However, the former DGP refuted the charges talking reporters.
The illegal business which was operated from Bhongir and Hyderabad as main centres shocked everyone. One former Minister’s name from Nalgonda district too faced allegations. Uma Madhava Reddy came before the media to condemn the reports.
Recently, BC welfare activist and MLA R Krishanaiah too faced trouble after he spilled beans that he had close association with Nayeem during early days. Immediately, he was grilled by the SIT police.
After the encounter, the police arrested 109 persons who are believed to have alleged links with the gangster. Relatives, family members, gang members were among the arrested. The SIT chief himself faced allegation that he was trying to save some politicians in the case.
