Prime Minister Modi is going to preside over the Niti Ayog economic strategy meeting in Delhi on June 15. All Chief Ministers of states are invited. This is because Niti Ayog is actively involving the states in formulating the bigger economically sustainable development goals.
So there’s speculation in power corridors on what line CM Jaganmohan Reddy will take in this meeting. The one bigger challenge to Jaganmohan Reddy is to push his election promise on bringing special status. Will Jagan pick up courage and put forward his demand at the national level meeting? The issue is that Jagan will have to do this when there’s Modi on the dais. Can he afford to confront the PM?
Chandrababu Naidu accepted special package and could bring some central funds. But Jagan has opposed package. Then he would have to come forward in a different format to ask for central funds for the crisis-hit state.
