It is known news that social activist Devi has filed police case on RGV for the demeaning comments he made during a TV debate with her. She filed police complaint for inappropriate comments he made during TV debate on porn vide GST. Police registered case under Sections 508, 509 of IPC and 67 of IT Act.
During the debate, when Devi mentioned why TVs are giving so much publicity for this porn video while there are 4000 crore porn sites there and so many useless people like RGV work there. For this RGV replied, how does Devi know how many porn sites are there? Does she watch them? He goes on and embarrassed her and even people watching the program felt RGV crossed the line a bit. So, Devi took it to the Police. When notice was served last time, RGV told he will not be able to come on that day because of prior commitments. So Police served a fresh notice and RGV is attending the police today.
RGV tweeted from his handle, ” With regard to the FIR on me ..am appearing before the concerned authorities as I am duty bound as a citizen to respect the law of the land to give reply to the false accusations made against me”. So, as he confirmed his attendance today, the next question is will police arrest RGV today after the inquiry. Though Police has the right to arrest in these sections, after the inquiry, we have to wait and see whether this case go till that extent.
