Vijayawada: Will the BJP be strengthened if it snap ties with the ruling TDP in Andhra Pradesh? Is there an opportunity for it to gain confidence of Seemandhra people?
A new political analysis has come to the fore during a recent meeting organised by BJP national general secretary Arun Singh and Andhra Pradesh affairs in charge Sidharth Nath Singh with the State BJP leaders in VIjayawada.
During the meeting, several apprehensions and doubts have been raised by the State BJP leaders. The leaders were apprehensive about Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s strategy in holding the BJP government responsible for denying the special status to the State.
There are doubts expressed by the leaders before the Central leaders that the credit of announcing any equivalent financial package to the special status tag might go to the TDP’s kitty. BJP leader Kandula Rajamohan Reddy apprised them of the present situation in broken English. He believes that the saffron party would get strengthened itself if it withdraw supporting the TDP.
After the meeting, the BJP leaders from the Centre are learnt to have seriously thoughtful over the analysis given by Rajamohan Reddy. He went on to say that the Seemandhra people has no trust on the Congress and people would surely desist from voting the party until next one decade. He also claimed that principal opposition party – the YSR Congress too facing severe opposition from the general public.
The BJP leader said that there is no trust left among the people on the YSRCP chief who is running his party without specific ideology. Several issues how the leaders in the YSRCP gradually losing faith over the functioning of Jagana and cases of misappropriation of assets and allegations from the ruling party are frequently haunting Jagan.
Though the sentiment on former CM of united Andhra Pradesh YS Rajasekhara Reddy worked out in 2014 by fetching some seats to YSRCP, the sentiment would not withstand further because of the cases on Jagan, the BJP leader analaysed.
Rajamohan Reddy put forward his analysis how Chandrababu Naidu losing his ground by anti-people policies. He maintained that there is opposition from Rayalaseema people and the resentment from people of North Andhra cannot be ruled out, he said.
