Needi Naadi Oke Katha Audio Review
Needi Naadi Oke Katha is an upcoming romantic drama starring the talented actor Sree Vishnu and presented by Nara Rohit. Newcomer Suresh Bobbil has composed music for the film and directed by debutante Venu Udugula. After the success of Sree Vishnu’s earlier outing Mental Madilo, expectations are high on this flick.
The album begins with rustic fusion number Parvathi Putruda which is quite novel and appealing to hear. The prelude begins with a passionate solo chorus and hilarious lyrics are another add on. The song instantly gets into the groove with strong rhythm section and of course- fresh vocals which takes the listener back to the rural roots. However, a biggest changeover to Classical Music arrives in between leading to soothing vocals in the eternal raga Shankarabharanam. Kudos to the music director to bring the two contrasting worlds together!
Dehamicchina is a deeply philosophical number which speaks about the bigger realities of life and love. Ominous flute, guitar and string sections are quite wonderful to hear. Composed in the deeply imbibing raga Subhapanthuvarali, it has been a while Tollywood has witnessed the wholesomeness of it! Sublime mridangam, and calming vocals is a great addition.
Some peppiness is back with Jimmedhaari which attempts to build a bridge between Dubstep and Conversational style. The song interestingly asks many questions which speaks about the rat race of competition and the problems youngsters face these days. In short, the song speaks about the imaginary responsibilities which are set by the society in the so called musical style! A very special mention should be mentioned about the Rap portion in the interludes.
The title number Needhi Naadhi Oke Katha arrives in grace and poise. Set in C major scale- the all time favourite of composers, the song brings a wonderful new angle to it. Poetic lyrics and acoustic guitar have a wonderful conversation throughout and it is overall quite pleasant to hear! Enjoy the amazing fervour of this song which reminds us of A.R.Rahman’s 90s brilliance.
An unplugged number Naalo Nenu is another pleasant outing which evokes feelings of soft romance and everything beautiful in life. The song speaks lyrically and musically about hope, living life to the fullest and eternal love. A very special mention should be made for the fantastic grand piano support.
The finale arrives with Edho Jarige sustains the pleasantness and balances the rustic appeal created by the album initially. Sweet vocals, smooth chord progression and mild trance style again takes the listener back to Rahman’s 90s compositions. The interludes are masterfully created to give a fantastic musical pathway!
Verdict:
Needi Naadi Oke Katha is a whiff of fresh air which brings back the classy and pleasant era to Tollywood! It is indeed a relief to hear such albums in the midst of heavy sounding numbers!
