Express Raja had been a dark horse in the sankranthi race. Despite a biggie like Nannaku Prematho, Medium budget films Dictator & Soggade Chinni Nayana it has emerged as Super Hit. It has released on very limited screens & has started with an Average Opening. Day wise collections over the opening weekend were on the same levels & with some areas having Day2,3 collections greater than the opening day. After opening weekend which is an end to the Sankranthi Vacation, the movie has started dominating over Nannaku Prematho & Dictator. It has beaten Sharwanand’s Previous best Grosser Run Raja Run (7.9 Cr) in 10 days which means it also has recovered it’s landing cost.

Looking at how Express Raja collections trended over the weekdays which indicates good word of mouth, we can say it could have emerged Blockbuster by collecting 20Cr+ if it would have been a Solo Release !
