Rayalaseema Parirakshana Samithi president Byreddy Rajasekhara Reddy will set out on a \u2018Rythu Bathukudhervuvu Padayatra\u2019 from October 14 to 16 against the forcible acquisition of farm lands in the state especially in Rayalaseem region in the name of setting up of industries. Incidentally this time the High Court stood by him. The Court directed the state government to issue necessary permission to his rally. And it also advised Reddy to apply 15 in advance for the permission from the police.<\/p>\n
Disclosing this to the media, Reddy said Hyderabad High Court had admitted his writ petition on issue as a public interest litigation (PIL). Last time on September 14, when Reddy wanted to take up Padayatra from Pudicherla village to Kurnool collectorate protesting the government move to the acquire lands against the will of the farmers, the police denied permission and put him under house arrest. All the farmers, who wanted to participate in the padayatra had been arrested. So, Reddy moved the court.<\/p>\n
He alleged a conspiracy being hatched by the government to fudge document to show that the land belonged to government, not farmers. “Even before initiating land acquisition for the industrial hub at Pudicherla, encumbrance certificates for 5,500 acres belonging to farmers in Pudicherla, Gargeyapuram and Nannur villages had been fudged to show th land belonging to the government of A.P. and Reliance Cement Company, ” Mr. Rajasekhara Reddy said. He furnished copies of the encumbrance certificates obtained through Mee Seva to the media. A similar exercise , he alleged, was going on in case of lands needed for a DRDO project and the airport in Kurnool.<\/p>\n
