Hyderabad: Having swept the Assembly elections and just hours before swearing in ceremony of TRS supremo K Chandrashekhar Rao, the party has decided to sack the MLCs, who joined Congress before polls. In this regard, TRS has complained to Telangana Legislative Council to take necessary action against the four MLCs — Konda Muralidhar Rao, Yadava Reddy, Ramulu Naik and Bhupathy Reddy.

It may be recalled that Ramulu Naik was suspended by TRS. MLCs Yadava Reddy, Konda Murali and Bhupathireddy defected to the Congress.

Konda Muralidhar Rao is an MLC elected by TRS and his wife Konda Surekha is former MLA from Warangal (east). Surekha was denied ticket by the TRS and subsequently she joined Congress and contested from Parakala constituency and lost it to rival candidate Dharma Reddy of TRS. Now, axe will fall on Konda Murali.

MLC Kompally Yadava Reddy turned rebel over an issue of changing candidate to other constituency. Yadava Reddy had requested KT Rama Rao to shift Kale Yadaiah from Chevella to Vikarabad Assembly seat, but KTR was firm on his decision saying that the sitting MLA would stay put. Disappointed over it, Yadava Reddy quit TRS and joined Congress.

Another MLC R Bhoopathi Reddy, who had been keeping himself away from the party affairs, was faced party high command’s ire over anti—party activity. Several party MLCs, MLAs and MPs under the leadership of Agriculture Minister P Srinivas Reddy passed a unanimous resolution asked the party high command to take disciplinary action against Bhoopathi Reddy for his anti-party activities. Subsequently, he also defected to Congress.

Bhoopathi Reddy worked to defeat the TRS candidate and former MLA Bajireddy Govardhan in the elections and but couldn’t succeed.

Coming to Legislative Council chairman K Swami Goud is reportedly unhappy with the TRS leadership, according to the speculation making rounds in the political circles. His term as Council Chairman is set to end. News that the party leadership is thinking of appointing K R Suresh Reddy, who recently defected from the Congress, is also one more reason why Goud is not happy with the party high command.
